Why does Diono® use steel in their all-in-one convertible Radian® 3R® car seats?

We use mechanically engineered, reinforced steel core, made from automotive grade high strength steel in our all-in-one convertible car seats because of the strength that it gives the seat in protecting your child from a crash compared to other materials that are commonly used. Steel is strong and less likely to warp, deform or bend under weight, force or heat in comparison to other metals. Adding steel helps to ensure the structural integrity is maintained years after the seat is purchased.
