Radian 3QX

Diono has determined through continuous product testing, that certain Diono Radian 3Q platforms are affected by this safety notice  Only those bearing the serial numbers listed below, manufactured between December 2019 and November 2024, fail to conform to Canadianl Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213 (CMVSS 213). All other Diono car seats are free of the defect and conform to all requirements of CMVSS 213.

Affected child restraints When used with UAS (Universal Anchor System) in a rear facing configuration, these seats could result in marginally higher chest acceleration than the accepted criteria.  No injuries have been reported at the time of the submission.

Out of an abundance of caution, Diono is conducting a voluntary recall on the seats listed above.  Diono requests that you immediately halt usage of the UAS system and secure your seat with the lap and shoulder belt in your vehicle.  If you need to use the UAS please notify us and we will ship you a remedy kit composed of force absorption foam at Diono’s expense. Diono expects that the remedy kit will be available for shipment by December 16, 2024.

While you await your remedy kit, you may continue to use your seat in harness mode utilizing the vehicle lap and shoulder belt or in booster mode with the install according to the manual.

NOTE: No other DIONO products are included in this recall. Only Radian 3QX, 3QXT, 3R SafePlus, 3RXT SafePlus seats manufactured between December 2019 through November 2024 are affected.

2020 Cambria 2 Booster Seat Recall

As part of our continuous product testing, Diono has identified a problem with certain Cambria 2 manufactured between September 2020 and November 2020. These seats could exhibit a cracking or breakage of the headrest assembly. Therefore, we have decided to conduct a voluntary recall on the affected seats.  You may continue to use the seat without the backrest while waiting for the replacement backrest.  This seat complies with CMVSS 213 when used as a backless booster.

Step 1

Identify if my Cambria® 2 booster seat is affected. Look at the first 6 digits of your serial number sticker.

Step 2

Complete the online registration form below to receive your free replacement backrest remedy kit. Or contact us at 1-866-954-9786 / diono.ca/contact-us. Do not return the product to the retailer that the child restraint was purchased from or contact the retailer. The retailer will only refer you to Diono.

NOTE: No other DIONO products are included in this recall.

If your Diono Cambria 2 does not have the Serial numbers listed above, it is NOT included in this recall.  Other Diono Cambria 2 booster seats do not have the identified issue and fully comply with CMVSS 213.

Diono Radius Safety Notice

It has come to Diono’s attention that rogue merchants and individuals are selling unlicensed, unapproved and counterfeit “Radius” model infant car seats under the Diono brand that do not comply with the mandatory safety standards of Canada’s Motor Vehicle Restraint Systems and Booster Seats Safety Regulations. Use of these car seats could affect the safety of your child in a crash.

The Safety Notice applies to any and all Radius model infant car seats that have been made available in the past, or are now available, for purchase by consumers. Diono has never imported into Canada, sold or made available for sale, this infant car seat anywhere in the world. These infant car seats should, under no circumstance, be purchased or used as child restraints as they are unsafe.

If you have purchased one of these infant car seats, please discard it immediately rendering it unusable before doing so. This can be done by cutting the harness straps and buckle strap.
If you otherwise come across these infant car seats being offered for sale, please contact Transport Canada.

Diono will be taking appropriate action for Trademark infringement against any seller offering these seats under the Diono Brand.
